One of the most spectacular wine tastings in 2012 will for once be carried out in Stockholm.
All eighteen vintages between 1959 and 1999, from the most exclusive champagne house of them all–Salon. It is presumably the most extensive tasting of Salon ever undertaken in terms of the number of vintages.
It took champagne enthusiast Johan Tidelius, twelve years to find all eighteen vintages. At various auction houses, wine merchants specialized in older, rare, and valuable wines; and in the deepest vaults of Salon’s own cellar in Le Mesnil. Read more
